Developed in partnership with Ignis Digital Marketing, the new REMY Awards Portal represents a significant investment in the future of the competition, bringing a more streamlined, organized, and user-friendly experience to project submissions, judging, and award administration.
Beginning September 10, 2026, remodeling contractors, designers, and industry professionals participating in the REMY Awards will be able to submit their projects through the new platform, making it easier than ever to showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and innovation taking place throughout the Kansas City remodeling industry.
A Better Experience from Start to Finish
The REMY Awards have long celebrated excellence in residential remodeling, recognizing outstanding projects that demonstrate superior craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and innovative solutions.
As the competition continues to grow, PRC remains committed to improving the experience for everyone involved.
The new portal has been developed specifically for the REMY Awards, offering dedicated access for entrants, judges, and committee members, along with a more intuitive and organized submission process.
Participants will be able to save drafts, make edits, and return to their entries before the submission deadline, providing greater flexibility when preparing project information, photographs, and supporting materials.
Behind the scenes, improved judging and administrative tools will help streamline the process while maintaining the standards that make the REMY Awards a respected recognition of remodeling excellence.
Showcasing Kansas City’s Award-Winning Remodeling Projects
One of the most exciting additions to the new platform is a public-facing REMY Winners Gallery, designed to highlight award-winning remodeling projects on PRC’s website.
This feature will provide an opportunity to showcase the talent and expertise of Kansas City remodeling contractors, designers, and industry partners while giving homeowners a closer look at the exceptional work being completed throughout the metro area.
By making award-winning projects more accessible, the gallery will help celebrate the businesses and professionals behind these transformations and further promote the quality of Kansas City’s remodeling industry.
The Same Standards, a More Streamlined Process
While the technology behind the competition is changing, the submission requirements, judging criteria, and scoring process will remain the same.
The REMY Awards will continue to use anonymous judging, evaluating projects based on factors such as client satisfaction, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovative construction methods.
The new portal will guide entrants through five key stages: project information, media uploads, written responses, project team recognition, and final review.
This approach is designed to make participation more accessible while preserving the fairness, consistency, and professional standards of the competition.
Preparing Your 2026 REMY Awards Submission
To help participants prepare before submissions open on September 10, the new portal will guide entrants through five steps:
- Basic Project Information: Provide a project name that does not identify the submitting company, project details, award category, project cost, and completion date.
- Media Uploads: Include completed project photographs, before photographs (if applicable), plans and drawings (if applicable), and an optional project video.
- Written Responses: Answer six project-specific questions, each with a 500-word limit, addressing the project summary, client needs, functional and aesthetic improvements, craftsmanship, and innovative materials or construction methods.
- Project Team: Identify your company and the trade partners and professionals who contributed to the project.
- Review & Submit: Review your entry, save drafts, make changes, and submit your completed project before the deadline.
Participants are encouraged to begin gathering their project documentation, photographs, and written responses in advance to ensure a smooth submission experience.
Judging Guidelines & Award Recognition
The REMY Awards will continue to maintain their established judging standards, with all projects evaluated through a completely anonymous process.
To qualify for a 2026 REMY Award, a project must achieve a score of at least 85%:
- 75-point scoring scale: 64 points or higher
- 105-point scoring scale: 89 points or higher
Each award category may recognize one Gold Winner and one Silver Winner.
Projects demonstrating exceptional achievement may also qualify for an All-Star Award, requiring a score of at least 94%:
- 75-point scoring scale: 70 points or higher
- 105-point scoring scale: 99 points or higher
Additionally, Best of Show Awards will recognize outstanding category-winning projects within four investment ranges:
- Under $100,000
- $100,000–$250,000
- $250,001–$500,000
- $500,001 and over
These established standards ensure that the REMY Awards continue to recognize exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and professional excellence throughout Kansas City’s remodeling industry.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 REMY Awards
The new portal will officially open for submissions on September 10, 2026, as PRC prepares for another year of celebrating outstanding remodeling projects across the Kansas City metro.
The 2026 REMY Awards Gala will take place on December 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at The Abbott in Kansas City, bringing industry professionals together for an evening of recognition, celebration, and connection.
Award entries and gala dinner tickets are each priced at $150.
