The Professional Remodeling Collective celebrated the return of its educational luncheons on May 14, 2026, welcoming more than 90 members of Kansas City’s remodeling community for an afternoon of learning, collaboration, and meaningful connections.
The successful return marked an exciting milestone for the organization, bringing together remodeling contractors, designers, suppliers, and industry professionals from across the Kansas City metro to reconnect with peers, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships within the industry.
Different Perspectives, Stronger Connections
The luncheon featured guest speaker Wayne McKamie, who led an engaging and interactive presentation focused on understanding different perspectives, navigating personality differences, and improving communication in both professional and personal interactions.
Rather than relying on a traditional presentation format, McKamie encouraged attendees to get involved through a variety of hands-on activities and group exercises. These demonstrations challenged participants to consider how others approach situations, communicate their ideas, and respond to differing viewpoints.
For professionals working in the remodeling industry, where successful projects depend on collaboration between contractors, designers, suppliers, employees, and homeowners, the discussion offered valuable insight into building stronger working relationships.
The interactive format kept attendees engaged throughout the session, creating opportunities for shared experiences, fresh perspectives, and practical takeaways that extend well beyond the luncheon.
Reconnecting Kansas City’s Remodeling Community
With more than 90 attendees, the return of PRC’s luncheons was a powerful reminder of the value of bringing industry professionals together.
The gathering provided an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new relationships, and share in the common goal of strengthening Kansas City’s remodeling industry.
Beyond professional education, these events help foster the connections and collaboration that make the Professional Remodeling Collective more than just an association. They create a community where local remodeling businesses can learn from one another, build lasting relationships, and grow together.
Looking Ahead to More Opportunities
The enthusiastic turnout and participation made the first luncheon of 2026 a tremendous success and set an exciting tone for future educational events.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Wayne McKamie for delivering an engaging and memorable presentation, and to everyone who joined us in celebrating the return of this valued PRC tradition.
As we continue through 2026, we look forward to providing more opportunities for education, networking, and professional development that support the businesses and individuals shaping Kansas City’s remodeling community.
Inspire. Elevate. Build.
